My Story
I am a veteran of both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Coast Guard. I’ve always loved to draw and create. During my battle with PTSD and depression I discovered the therapeutic aspect of painting and fell in love with it. The response I received from my art made me realize that others out there that might appreciate my art. If something I create brings joy to someone else, I am overwhelmed with happiness. During my recovery I decided that I only want to bring light into the world. I have been a part of far too much darkness and want to be a lighthouse on the darkened shore. My goal is to show others that mental health issues don’t have to define you and there is a path out of the darkness and the world can be a better place. I will never stop growing and working on my mental health and if I can be a positive influence for anyone then I’ve done my job. I follow one simple tenant in my life. “Be Cool”. If you are dealing with mental health issues and have no one to turn to or fear talking to anyone close, reach out to me. I am here for anyone that needs a friend. Please, please, please reach out to me or someone else. You are worth it.
